Can forget me not seedlings go in my n top? Or any other recommendations please? Or should it just be gravel?

I have a pot with  hostas in it which forget-me-nots seed themselves into (as well as pretty much everywhere else). I do try to remember to pull them out when the hosta starts growing, which is well before they're over but I do get some flowers.

Probably best to grow something near the edge of the pot where there's likely to be more root space.  If you want colour now and over winter, winter pansies or violas will do the trick!  They tend to fade by early spring and can easily be removed.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

I plant snowdrops around my hostas in the ground, also helps to mark where the hostas are! Maybe it would work in a pot too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
