What am I? Monstera Adansonii?

I was recently gifted this plant in this little pot. I am not sure what it is or how to repot it? It seems to be growing almost out of the pot with roots high in the air? Any advice welcome. Sorry photos sideways. Thank you.

Certainly some kind of Monstera. They do make aerial roots, and the traditional thing to do (with the big Monstera) is to put a moss pole in the pot and tuck the aerial roots into that (it also acts as a support). In nature I guess they would climb up tropical forest trees.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Almost certainly Adansonii. There are some similar ones but they are much rarer. I would repot it into a larger pot, with a chunky mix of orchid compost and regular multi-purpose compost around 50:50. If you can get it onto a moss pole it will also be happier, those roots are to help it climb.

Just a small word of warning......don't let the roots anywhere near a wall as they will cling on and cause some damage to the surface. Had a giant monstera years ago that we left to clamber at will and it ate the emulsion.

Crikey good tip, thanks! We had to fight ivy outside on our house so don’t want any more wall destruction! Thanks

Thanks for this, I will look for orchid mix at the garden centre. I’ve looked up the Moss Poles you suggested, I had never heard of them, I’m sure it will love one of those. Going to get a smaller one to start with (seen a 30cm one). Thanks again!

Thanks for the Moss Pole tip! They are new to me. That looks like exactly what it wants. And a bigger home (pot) of course! Thanks for the advice.
