Helping with garden research at LSE

Camilla Royale is a university researcher at LSE (London School of Economics) and a grower. She and her colleague are studying the relation between gardening and well-being (not assuming that is helpful). She is wishing to interview gardeners on this topic. I have met with her to discuss the issues and she is very sweet.
"We are both keen gardeners and are interested to hear people’s thoughts on whether gardening is good for wellbeing and the impact of any environmental activities. If you have a garden could we visit and ask you some general questions about what you like (or don’t like) about gardening? This would be incredibly helpful to us.
It would take about 30-60 minutes and could be arranged at a time convenient to you. Our project is approved by the university’s ethics committee."
If you are able to take part or for more info, contact Camilla

Would this just be for people living in and around London or are the researchers looking to traipse all over these isles in search of the answers?
  • Good question and exactly what I was wondering.  If it is limited to London and the environs, I can't see how helpful to a research project that could really be.
Admittedly, if the project wishes to cover the UK as such, that could take quite some time.
I think there are a couple of threads on this forum which attempt to cover this subject and it probably crops up on other gardening forums too. I'd think that may be a good way to start ?
  • I'm in the South west so I'm meeting with Camilla via zoom later this week...

Camilla says she can travel to the south-west and south of England, the east, the Midlands, up to about Manchester, and to Wales. Good that Zoom is an option too.

Camille says she is greatly appreciative of all the responses. It's kind of everyone to take the time.

Presumably her respondents will need to be either feeling short of 'wellbeing', or are quite happy with what they're already doing and unaware of what life might be like without it?
