I wouldn’t be without it, there is no other hardy grass with that vivid colour. Yes it is a bit thuggish, but can be edited, surely that’s what gardening is about.

I always plant thugs in the most challenging locations, where nothing else will grow. It tends to keep them under manners. Just don't give them prime conditions, save those for the more diva-ish plants that are far more choosy!
