  • We've been so fortunate - but they ARE far too early this year.

Loads of ripe blackberries here, shame I’m not too keen on them. As far as cultivating them, I find that all you have to do is turn your back, next time you look, the things will have taken over the garden.

Lots here in Dordogne too. Often it's too dry and they aren't much good but this year we've had thunderstorms. Blackberry and apple pie is OH's favourite. I made one last week.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • We have blackberry and apple crumble. Easier on the teeth! 🤣

    Custard or ice cream?
  • Either, or both!! I'm not fussy.

It's custard for  me on crumble, ice cream is nice on pie. But yes, if pushed I'd have both.

Ah yes but is it hot or cold custard?
  • Got to be hot custard. Cold custard is wrong!!

Is the "both" referring to custard and ice cream, or crumble and pie?

    Or both "both"? 😁
