Tomatoes - cut back?

    As an experiment, when I pinched out one of the side shoots of one tomato plant I decided to pot it up. It's grown quite tall quite quickly and has a few flowers, but I doubt it'll amount to much. Has anyone tried this?

    Yes - I often use the sideshoots  :)
    If you can do it early on in the year you can get a crop, especially if they're undercover, which mine mostly are. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
