    It looks like box moth caterpillar damage to me

    99.9% certain that's box caterpillar damage (I've struggled with both blight and caterpillar so can distinguish between the two).

    What a shame - you have some nice topiary there. Might be worth leaving things for another year just in case this was a one-off attack. The box will regrow but, if the moths have found your garden, you may well have that sort of devastation every year.

    I've swapped to yew.
