This is a Lidl special that I couldn’t resist but could it be more of an annual or more tender than the original one which I also have? Thankyou curious if truly perennial

Yes Echinacea but too many petals to be Echinacea purpurea.

Yes they are perennial. They sometimes disappear in spring because they are eaten by slugs just under the ground.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
