Yes - that paler colour is the start of the ripening process, and any later toms which are that colour can be brought inside to carry on ripening when it's getting too cold outside for them to progress. Assuming they're red varieties of course

There’s lots of online advice about how to ripen tomatoes indoors but testing of the range of methods shows the best solution is to put the tomatoes in a warm, dark spot where temperature does not fluctuate much.
The best place is a kitchen drawer, and what dumb advice that is because where will you put the scissors, ball of string, three rubber gloves, that thing for opening bottles, four dead batteries, the light bulb (maybe blown, maybe not), Fido’s lead (poor Fido. He died three years ago), the tea towels, two green triangular Quality Streets that nobody likes, the elastic bands courtesy of the postie, and that weird thing for making vegetable spirals plus the out of date Lakeland catalogue which encouraged you to buy it?
