  • @HeyHo! Oh no, I wonder if that's what it's been on mine too? Mine did look better to begin with but then went bad over time 😔

These liquid fertilizers are clearly damaging lawns
Nothing wrong with liquid feeds and granular feeds it’s normally down to poor applications sorry to say also mixing products very close together. And also did you use seed as well after applying a 4 in 1 product that contained weed killer that would destroy all germinating new seed.

Be back later , chasing about after the electrician and plumbers.
I never knew retirement would be so busy.

I agree, it's not the products that are the problem, but it can be tricky to apply them evenly enough, and it can be tempting to add a bit more than the instructions say. The feed-weed-mosskiller combined products I find are the hardest to get right, and I don't use those any more. Any weeds that I want to remove are hand-pulled or spot-treated and I leave any moss that appears. The grass generally out-competes it here in the conditions that I have, and I'm not really bothered that it isn't a perfect even lawn. I'm happy enough when we get enough rain to keep it green.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • I think if I ever use liquid fertilisers again, I'll dilute them more than advised on the instructions. That way, if I over apply it, it hopefully won't do as much damage 🤞
