Beech hedge advice

My fairly young beech hedge, firstly after the first winter developed woolly beech aphid, now it has started to develop some brown edges to the leaves and one bush has gone completely brown. Should I persevere and leave it settle or will this get worse and if that is the case what do I need to do. Thanks

Have you been watering it regularly? I know it has been raining a lot but new bushes still need watering in for the first year or so.  There will be dryer areas, up against a wall, or where a larger tree is sucking water out of the ground.  The aphids I don't bother about. It looks unsightly, but the blue tits find them and clear them unless you are in a bird free zone.  You can attract them into your garden by hanging a fat ball near the affected tree, while one is feeding the others notice the aphids.

Could you post a photo of the affected bush, close up of the leaves and from a distance to get the context.

I guess, sun-scorch on young leaves.  Action, none.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.
