Squash ID please

My uncle gave me this squash yesterday, but he didn't know what variety it was.  Could anyone advise please, and also advise on best way to cook it.  It's about 6 inches in diameter. Thank you in advance.

    Not sure of its specific variety but I’d peel it, cut it into chunks, (removing seeds which can be roasted, sprinkled with seasalt and eaten as a ‘nibble’ if you like that sort of thing) then slather it with olive oil and roast it … perhaps with a little cumin. 😋
