Euphorbia stems flattened to ground cut back?

I'm not sure what to do with this euphorbia as I flattened some stems whilst digging out brambles. They were in "bloom" when I moved here in April.  As the GW info on euphorbia says that there are evergreen, biennial and herbaceous types I don't know which this is although  flowering in April  from long stems suggests it is evergreen.
Whichever it is I would like some help in knowing what to do with it as it is clearly not going to recover this year

  • I find that cutting down Euphorbia does it no harm. Mine spreads from runners underground, looks very like your one, so hopefully yours should pop up again late winter/early spring

It looks like E. griffithii or similar,  a herbaceous type, so should be fine with being cut back as needed.

I agree. It's often a benefit as it can rejuvenate the evergreen ones  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
