Can you identify these

I have been given a few plants by a friend but we cannot name these two.

  • I agree with crazybeelady, A looks like Achillea. B could be a penstemon

    Achillea, and the other could be several things. Asters and Penstemons both look like that. 
    If you get it planted, you'll find out next year when it flowers. If you're in a colder area, an  Aster will survive, but a Penstemon may not... ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I agree with @Fairygirl, that's looking like an aster to me and also agree on achillea @Crazybeelady 😁

    So This is the Flower on Plant B.  Any Ideas as I cannot seem to find it in my books.

    Looks like one of the many types of dianthus. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
