Hello
This looks like a potential tree but it has dainty little flowers on the top which are Purple with a yellow middle. Any thoughts please?

     Solanum  dulcamara

    Agree... Solanum  dulcamara
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
  • Thanks, I'd say that's a keeper then.
It has been hidden behind a huge clematis Montana that I cut back this year so has only just seen the light of day after at least 15 years according to the previous owner of the house.
A Google suggests it scrambles so I should probably find a support for it, and happily it should grow tall enough to hide some of the terribly twee ornaments in next door's garden!  B)

Wow - the flowers are beautiful! I tend to pull up nightshade weeds when they occasionally appear.  I'l stop and think next time...
