Plant ID required - Grass

Grateful if someone can tell me what the grass is in the attached photo. It did not grow very well in the back garden, so I moved it to the front and it excelled, to the point it needs cutting back. So any advice would be welcome - Thanks

    I'd say it's a rush, not a grass, but unsure of the ID.  Nice plant!
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

    I done a Google on your photo which suggests it's a variety of Thatching Reed
