What is wrong with my Lilac?

Hi All,
My Lilac tree, planted in the spring, has done well all season but the leaves are starting to brown and crinkle. There has been plenty of rain recently and its on a damp site.
Any ideas welcome

  • Hey! Lilacs can be a bit tricky. Brown and crinkled leaves could be due to a few things. Over-watering might be a culprit, even if it's rainy. Make sure the soil isn't too soggy. Also, check for any signs of pests or diseases. If the roots are healthy, your lilac should bounce back. Keep an eye on it and adjust watering if needed. 🌸🌧️

Lilacs are straightforward enough, but it's only just planted. It'll be next year before it's fully established and will start growing properly.
If the site was correctly prepped, it'll be fine  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
