help its me again morehelp needed please

greetings one and all, i have planteda apple tree andaplum tree and a pear tree in 3 containers andhavebeenquite amazed thatihave one plum growing and 2 apples (this is my first attempt at these and veg as some of you may know )  the leaves on the apple tree looked pretty dry and i have been feeding them and watering them the biggest apple looked as though it had a brown bit on it so i took it in and cut that off and tried a small peice it was so bitter it nearly dried my mouth out,hubby tried it same reaction. it is a breaburn apple are they supposed to tasteso bad what have i done wrong ?  any advise gratefully recieved thanks

    Isn't it a bit early for apples to be ripe enough to eat?

    Braeburn apples don't ripen until October so you have a bit of a wait yet.

    oh thanks for the replies this is my first year at trying to grow fruit andveg, and although i have some things growing im not sure when to pick them ( i should have read instructions properl ) am pleased at least to know that if any more apples appear in a few months they willtaste differently thanksagain

    This year's apples will be already on the tree, they just need time to grow and ripen. It's a very young tree so it should be putting its energy into growing rather than fruiting at the moment.
