If it were mine,  and I have been doing this this week I would cut off where I’ve marked in red,  strip off some of the bottom leaves pinch out the middle and push it deep in a new pot,  the bottom bit will shoot out bushy and you’ll have a lovely new plant.
You obviously know how to do cuttings so you’ll be fine .  If you feel really adventurous you can get 2 out of the top bit.

I think @lyn means you to use the piece you’ve cut off as a cutting and make another plant.

“…strip off some of the bottom leaves pinch out the middle and push it deep in a new pot …”

Take off the bottom leaves. Trim the stem to just below a leaf joint … then push it deep in a new pot of compost … and pinch out (remove) the growing tip ‘in the middle’ which will encourage the cutting to develop side shoots and grow into a bush plant.

Oh it will. It’s just that had you heard sed the cutting you would’ve had two fine plants.

But worry not … next year you can use some of the sideshoots to make some cuttings. 😊

Can you fetch it out of the bin?
Keep the bit you cut off,   Strip some of the leaves off the bottom, pinch out the very top bit and push it deep into a pot of compost,  you’ll have a new plant,  if you like you can cut the piece you’ve cut off in half and make two new plants.

Hope the existing plant will do alright
