Red Hot Poker Division

Hi All
I have a Red Hot Poker which has gotten to big and I need to split it up. Is it a good idea to do it now or wait until spring ??

    @Market Boy This is a job for the spring in my opinion. Years ago you would tie the top growth to protect the crown from frost. As I am sure you will remember last December was very cold. Leave undisturbed now and split as new growth appears in the spring.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
