Can you identify this weed, please

  • Thanks Lyn. I'll treat them and give it time to work. Then get to work to try and dig up what's left of them. Going to take up all of August and more and more work next spring.

    Same here with dandelions,  it’s ground elder,  hog weed and thistles in my borders,  all self seeded from the field. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    It will certainly take time if you go down the digging it out route, next Spring they’ll probably be back.  Keeping your lawn mowed will weaken them a bit,  but weeds are very good at hanging on.
    If you have family/friends,   you could arrange a gardening party,  (not to be confused with garden party). They help with the work,  you provide the food.
