Sloped garden (before and after pictures)

I thought this forum may be interested to see some before and after photos of my rear garden that completed a few months ago. All photos are of the same view before and after; I can't quite believe how much it has transformed the garden. The plants have had a hard life with a month of sun and strong winds (NE exposure wasn't fun) and then a month of rain. The after photos are from end of June. I will be asking lots of plant questions in due course...

  • It looks really lovely and much more manageable.

@Winchester_flare, that looks really good, you must be so pleased. It's much more user friendly and the terracing makes planting/weeding so much easier. We had the same done on a much smaller scale about 15 years ago and it's still looking great.

    Well done.

    I think that's what they call a transformation. 😍

That is absolutely gorgeous. I just love those steps and the white walls, what a stunning contrast, The whole garden is wonderfully transformed, very well done @Winchester_flare. I'm very impressed, love the design.
  • You certainly have a good eye for design  guess a lot of blood ,sweat and tears along the way it’s lovely .

They were my thoughts exactly. Lots of hard work went into that garden.
  • I had the idea of what we wanted but was very much down to my garden designer and especially the landscapers; there was no blood, sweat or tears from my side! But yes absolutely loving it; be nice when the plants grow out a bit more so I don't have to do so much weeding.

It's a pretty exposed location particularly to NE winds so I'm hoping the majority survive the winter.

That's a really good transformation with some great structure and will be even better when the planting grows and softens some of the hard lines.   I hope it brings you lots of joy.
