Triming

When is best to start trimming 
Bushes and hedges eg which mth as they realy are getting out of control don't want to trim some as the still have flowers but hedges are going on to path

    That depends on what they are.
    If you can tell us what shrubs you want to prune, we can offer advice on when and how  :)

    Hedging can really be done whenever it needs doing - the only time to avoid is spring when birds are nesting, and if they're also nesting later on [many small birds have several clutches through the year] you'd have to carefully check for nests first before you start  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Two rules-of-thumb:

    Prune after flowering.

    Prune when you are in the mood.

    Be more off cutting back than pruning
