Rampant cucumbers

As always, my cucumber plants in the greenhouse have become rampant with huge leaves which obscure the fruit; I often miss some before they get too big to be palatable.

I know that the lower, old leaves of tomatoes can be pruned in order to let light and air circulate.  Can the same be done with cucumbers.  (Actually I got so fed up with them this morning, I did just that.  Really hope I haven't messed things up 🤔.  Should have asked here first! )

Don't forget you can make cucumber soup it's delicious and easy to make! There is a recipe on the recipe thread which I can't find at the moment!

OH heavily has always cut the leaves from the cucumbers in the greenhouse.  Doesn't do them any harm.

I think that this may be the first time I've given advice here after starting growing veg.  three years ago.  There is hope for me yet :)
At about 750 feet on the western edge of The Pennines.  Clay soil.

Thank you, @InTheMoorlands.  We've been gardening for the same amount of time!  I have yet to offer advice, except sometimes plant identification, but someone else has invariably got there before me!
I have cut off a lot of lower lying leaves - so we shall see...
