Dying bay tree what to do.?

We have a 30 year old Bay tree in the front garden. It has grown to around 20ft @nd has been regularly professionally pruned biannually. Over the past few months at leat 2/3 has died off and we need to know if there is any hope of saving it before deciding to have it removed. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Could you post a couple of photos of the bay tree as it is easier to come up with a solution if the problem is visible. Photos can be attached by using the rectangular icon that looks like a little mountain and a sun.

Bays are pretty resilient when planted in the ground rather than in a pot.  Some of that looks dead but the rest looks pretty ok.

I would cut that hard back .., apply a sprinkling of Fish Blood & Bone and several gallons of water .., then mulch the area with some well-rotted garden compost or composted bark or similar.

Hopefully next spring (if not before) you’ll have some good new  growth.

    😊
