What Fruit and Veg can be Sowed Now?

I am very new to gardening but have now got the bug and want to ensure I have plenty to keep me interested and wondered if anyone had some advice on the best seeds to sow now and plant which will grow?

Maybe a bit late for Cavelo nero in the UK but you could try, I'm about to sow mine down here as they grow quickly. SSW France.

I recommend checking  out Charles Dowding's sowing calendar. He is in the South West of the UK.

Having had a lot of stuff cleared by  slugs, I am resowing kales, carrots and I even found some courgette seeds to have a go with.  D T Brown have a broad bean that you can sow now for autumn cropping , I put 36 in pots yesterday to start them off, and I also sowed a dozen pots of kelvedon wonder peas, 5 seeds to a square 3 inch pot, one in the middle and on in each corner. Once I have stuff that are bigger than seedings, they will go in the ground.

I sow my Spring green in September then grow on in the  GH after tomatoes have finished.  Last year I put carrots in there as well but they hadn’t grow that big before the tomatoes and cucumbers were ready to go in.
There’s a big difference in climate from my 960’ edge of Dartmoor to the Somerset Levels,  always about 3 weeks behind everyone else.

Me too @scroggin   The Pak Choy are up as are the beetroot, turnips and black radish.

You can sow root vegetables @seanmccaughey1984Sgg6_Ufp  leafy vegetables such as spinach, Asian Greens, chard and lettuces.

You can buy cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower seedlings and plant them now.  They won't be ready for Christmas but hey - nice to pick in February when there is little available to buy.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

PS  You can sow broad beans in November and peas in January/February.
