Spotted on woodland walk

Hello people I noticed this odd plant/shrub on my woodland walk anyone know what this is

    Arum maculatum, the wild arum aka Jack in the Pulpit, Cuckoo Pint, Lords and Ladies … and lots of other traditional names …

    one of my favourite wild spring flowers … fascinating for the way it traps insects in order to get them to pollinate its flowers. 

    The berries are eaten by lots of small wildlife … but they’re toxic to us so don’t eat. Otherwise I think  they’re gorgeous.  There are some ‘improved’ garden versions.

    Your photo is of the berries. The flowers appear in the spring … the berries ripen now. 

    Have a look at the link I posted to see the flowers.

    No these are the pollinated flowers with the seed heads which are around now.
