Hole bored into trunk of young tree - will it damage it?

    Probably one of the other longhorns then. I think hawthorn is a favoured host plant for the adults, feeding on the flowers.
  • Thank you @steephill I think you must be right about the longhorn beetle. Do you mean that the larva has now exited the tree? I am worried about long-term damage it might have caused - is there any way I can help the tree repair?
