@tui34 interested to see that you have tried Bloody Butcher - I first did them in 2021 - they fruited quite well but the fruits were not as described in either colour or shape. Did again from the same packet last year and they were more like it. Same again this year - not quite as described but doing well and in fact, ripening even before the Sungold. All rather odd ! I also did San Marzano for the first time this year - slow to flower, very sparse and the only variety which suffered from some blossom end rot. Very disappointing.
Mine are just starting to turn, 4 weeks late. I think the early hot dry period when I watered, but probably not enough, and the the cooler summer has knocked their enthusiasm a bit.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
