Fertiliser for seedlings??

I was just wondering if there are any specific fertilisers I can put on seedlings to encourage root growth?

Seedlings don't really need any more feed that there is already in the compost.
Seaweed Extract would be good for seedlings though, used as per the label and gives added strength to the plant without giving it extra vigour.

I get modest success by using any 'El Cheapo' compost from one of the German supermarkets.  I make sure my seed trays have holes in the bottoms which are then stood in shallow trays for irrigation.  For 'feed' I put a few chicken manure pellets in a plastic bottle, fill with water, shake vigorously and use that for my seedlings to draw on.  For peas, beans and brassicas it may be wise to add a small amount of lime to the mixture.

Seedlings really do not do not need food, they will just get leggy. That is why seed compost is low in nutrients.

I've never fed seedlings of anything, for the reasons already given.
By their nature, they're potted in as they grow, and eventually planted, and they get enough nutrition from that new growing medium each time  :)

Feeding wouldn't encourage root growth anyway. Just top growth, which isn't ideal as the roots would be unable to support that well enough.
