Designing under a large sycamore tree
Hello,
I'm redesigning my back garden into multiple sections for seating.
I have one section with a decent sized area with decent sunlight, placed beneath a large sycamore tree - but this area is also a 'drop zone' for leaves, bird poo and sap.
How can I sensibly use this area and enjoy the sunlight, but manage the 'drop zone' elements? I'm reluctant to remove or heavily prune the tree.
Thanks for suggestions.

Have you got a photo?
An arbour of some kind would work, as mentioned, and can have planting/climbers as well, depending on the soil, the climate, and the aspect of the site. You'd need to have adequate rainfall to ensure plants would thrive, or enough available water to maintain them, but it would make the spot more attractive.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
