can you eat mangetout when the pods are full?

    My older daughter used to do that when she was tiny @Have a go Nick, and when the mangetout were still at the usual stage when you'd eat them whole, so you probably could try that  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    No idea what they'd taste like compared to an 'ordinary' pea, but you could try them and see  :)

    As others have said the problem will be with the "strings". Taking the peas out and using them is no issue. We grow peabeans that you can eat like mangetout but also the whole pod with the seeds inside as long as you don't leave it too late. If so then just depod and have the beans themselves.

    If I’ve not picked them fast enough I treat plump mange touts the same as Sugarsnap peas
