Anemone ‘Wild Swan’ stooped flowering?
Hi, I’m hoping this forum can help! I’ve had three anemones growing in the ground and they have flowered magnificently for the last four years, but not this year. Two flowers back in May, plenty of foliage but no more flowers since then. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on what to do next? Thank you

I believe that variety can be short lived though and a bit hit and miss. May seems very early for flowering though.
Perhaps you could take cuttings or divide if the plants are big enough, and see if that helps as you'd be bringing on young plants to replace the ones you have. Some plants are definitely better being divided every so often to keep their vigour, and that might be the case with that one.
If you have a photo or two that will also help with any further advice from folk who grow it

August for them here, although the odd weather has got them growing well and they're a bit further on than normal. Still nowhere near proper budding stage yet though.

Mine are Whirlwind [a semi double] and Andrea Atkinson. They start in August as you say, and carry on well through autumn, especially the latter. It's similar to H. Jobert in habit and height etc.

The ones I grow have a darker colour on the backs of the petals, which is why I've never felt the need to buy that one. That seemed to be one of the attractions, and selling points, of it when it came out.
