Advice on tree proximity

    I think/hope the big tree is too far away to be a sucker if I have understood what that is correctly but basically it's a shoot from the other tree.. but it's about 37m away so assume can't be that

    Yes, I reckon 37 metres probably means it's not a sucker! (Mine was about 10ft away). 



    It flowers in February / early March, ^ that's 2 March.

    Yes well I like that it has red leaves and a contrast against all the green in general. But yes potentially a big tree for a relatively small back garden. Hmm will have a think, its definitely a move or remove unfortunately. Thanks for all the comments

    The suckers from my purple-leaved cherry plum have green leaves. Seedlings are variable (but I weed them out anyway).
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
