Tillia Cordata Greenspire Leaves

Anyone know why my leave are going yellow and have small spots? Tree was planted in Feb and I have been watering well in dry spells.

That looks hungry and thirsty to me.

    Whats the soil like?

You’ve been watering in dry spells … how much and how often?

TBH I’d be watering a newly planted tree with two bucketsful of water at least three times a week no matter what the weather was like.

It’s very close to that wall … is it a house wall?

  • It is a boundary wall and soil seems pretty decent when I planted it. Would you recommend any type of feed I could use to help it?

I think water will help it more than anything. A really good soaking a couple of times a week … as it’s near a wall it’s probably in a rain-shadow. Add some liquid seaweed to the water once a fortnight.  A good organic mulch will help the root area retain moisture … then next late Feb/early March I’d apply some Fish, Blood & Bone … a good all round organic feed ideal for trees and shrubs.

The ground needs feeding more than the tree itself. That will benefit it more than anything - apply a mulch as often as you can. Grass is always competition for a new tree regarding moisture, so that will help to conserve it, especially if you're in a drier area. I'm assuming you've cleared a good area of turf around the base?
The next few months are really important for it's establishment  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Good points @Fairygirl
… and of course, without adequate moisture in the soil it’s impossible for roots to access any nutrients there may be.
