Apple tree has dropped all fruit, any ideas what may have caused this. Tree & foliage look healthy.

    Dropped lots of fruit or all of the fruit? It may be drying out too much.

    We have loss most of our quinces this year due to lack of water. Usually only a few fall off like the June drop for apples.

    We have the same happen with our Conference Pear tree - I have put it down to the change in weather patterns. John H
  • Unusually, we have had very few fruit fall off in June or July. I have gone round removing some, but have kept the tree well watered as in previous years.

    The period of high temperatures and zero rainfall will have that effect.
  • Don't worry too much about my apple tree as my neighbour uses the fruit for baked apple.
    But been advised just because the tree looks fine, still might well nèed watering in very dry conditions.

    In recent years I have been regularly drenching my established apple trees with buckets every week.
