jmahayjmahay Posts: 39
Hi I don't know what has happened to this house plant?
I have had it for awhile it was up a corner in the living room it seemed ok till I repotted it now I noticed last week some leaves have gone yellow and the brown tips I cut off
I put it now in the veranda maybe it needs more light after all but not sure?
I not sure what to do it seems it has a root on it but even that as some brown on it will it recover?

Not sure what it is but have you over watered it? Has it gone from a shady spot to full sun?

Hi I think maybe your right or something was in the compost   🤔 but I put it back in the corner and I noticed there a tiny  leaf on  a stork  or stem  growing  from the side of the plant maybe it's going to pick up I see how it goes I leave it for a few weeks  in the corner thanks 👍

I think it's more a case of trying to get a correct ID for it to give you an idea of what medium is suitable, watering/feeding regime required, etc.
If you bought it, did it ever have a label or if not, could you go back to the purchase place and see whether they either have more of them ( hopefully labelled ) or asking for an ID from a staff member ?
Otherwise, it is simply trial and error  :)

All it said on label was green plant at the time I was looking for a nice plant at reasonable price to go in the living room but looking at it looks like it comes from
    variegated yucca or Dracaena family
It was the only one the co op don't have many and I don't think staff assistant would help either but I think it might pick up I have had plants in the past look dead but have recovered so let's hope as raising girl said  it was sulking lol

What type of potting compost did you use?  It looks rather dry in your photo.  Also can the pot drain adequately?  I would remove the yellowed leaves to help your plant recover and improve its appearance.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

    The compost
says it's suitable for indoor or outdoor plants it was Miracle-Gro 40L Peat Free Premium All Purpose Compost  but I am not keen on peat free but not many places sell peat compost  .
I cut the yellow leaves  so it should help thanks
