Ants in the compost bin

Should I be concerned that ants and flying ants are nesting in my compost bin? This is a black plastic bin with a lid so birds can't easily access them

    Its too dry, turn the hosepipe on it and they won't like it and move.

    I leave them they aerate the compost or you could take the lid off for a few days and see if the birds do eat them.
