Please could someone here help me with identifying what tree type this is?

We have had a mystery tree planter in our community garden area gift us with this tree but I'm unsure as to exactly what tree type it is.

I suspect it's a walnut tree.

    That’s a walnut sapling . Beware ,they get huge ,but you won’t get nuts for years yet .

    That would be great if it became huge, the space it has been planted in needs more shelter.

    As @bcpathome says they do get HUGE! We have one that is producing male and female flowers but at the moment the result is not good. We have it in our orchard and so at the moment not concerned with height/width....but we will be in some years to come.
