Gummosis on my young Cherry tree

Has anyone successfully treated Gummosis on fruit trees. My poor little tree planted in Dec 2022 and going great guns until a couple of weeks ago when this happened  -







Any advice welcome

    Gummosis is the tree's response to damage caused by insects. Your leaf has been attacked by one of the leaf miner larvae (moths, sawflies or flies). Your trees should survive these attacks with the help of nature's predators like birds, ladybirds and wasps.

    Thanks for that. Good to know what I'm dealing with. I would hate to dig up this little tree. We've got a lot of ladybirds on our allotments this year, so hopefully they can direct their efforts to my tree.
