Sycamore tree
We have cut the branches off a 30 foot sycamore tree as the amount of pods it left in our horses paddock was ridiculous and we have spent the past 9 months picking up pods and saplings, don't wish to repeat this! My question is I've noticed new leaves have appeared sprouting out of the remaining trunk. Will these produce pods or not if we have cut off the mature branches?

Horses would rarely be bothered by them if that's what 's worrying you. The fields we had stock in were surrounded by lots of maples/sycamores
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
