When I put my first soaker hose in it was a difficult and frustrating job as the hose kept curling back on itself, but I learned from that experience how best to do it.
When I put my 2nd 50m soaker hose in a few weeks ago- First I laid it out on the lawn using the pegs Dove mentions above to stop it all curling back up on itself. I left it there for a couple of days in the warm sun then removed the pegs, it didn't curl up on itself. Then whilst the sun was still out I laid it along the borders. There's about 1ft between each run of the hose. When it's warm it's quite easy to get a fairly sharp curve as the hose is much more flexible. I didn't need to use any pegs to keep it in place.

That is a good tip about the warm sun @Pete.8, I had not thought of that. I will see if I can do something like that. I agree, it is a frustrating job when the hose is too rigid. Mine often herniates!
