Hampton Court Garden Festival Photos

We've had a lovely time at the Hampton Court Garden Festival, apart from the journey there. Took 4 1/2 hours, not the 3 hours that Google maps said.

Loads of flowers and stands and things for sale. I liked Carol Klein's garden best but there was huge queue to walk though it so we didn't. I loved the huge floral marquee. I've been looking for a scented clematis called Betty Corning for some time and I found and bought one from one of the clematis growers.

We also saw Adam Frost and Arit Anderson in one of the show gardens. I was slightly disapointed with the show gardens, not enough flowers or roses but I liked the Charleston one although it was a bit formal.

@Busy-Lizzie, lovely photos, good day to be there weather-wise. Seeing the horse sculpture, we passed a house on our walk today that had a pair in their front garden, they're definitely statement pieces

Thanks so much for posting these @Busy-Lizzie. I'm hoping that the programme tomorrow night will show as much detail  :)
Probably a good thing that l'm nowhere near that floral marquee !

Terrific photos. I don't know what the horse thing is made of or how it defies gravity like that but I need one.

    Thank you.
@WAMS the horse is made of driftwood.

How lovely .Thank you for showing us . It didn’t look as busy as , say , Chelsea , which makes it easier to spend the time you need to look properly . The rose arch was particularly beautiful. You must have had a super day out .
  • Many thanks for sharing your pictures with us @Busy-Lizzie
I also liked Carol Klein’s garden. Adorable this woman. So much energy.
If there isn’t more than one maker, we have a wooden horse maker (and other items) in Gloucestershire who is also selling at the rare plant fair.

    I my garden.
