Jasminoides by pond on willow

I've planted my Jasminoides next to my pond, gets good sun and is sheltered. I wanted it to grow along the living willow structure, in an ideal world I wanted it to be more established before encouraging it along the willow. Should I try encouraging it up an obelisk first before horizontal on the willow? Thanks

I see some Trachelospermum there, I also see some White Bryony. The latter could swamp the former

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Thanks, yes I like the mandrake, but thought if I encourage it up an obelisk first then I can encourage it along the willow. I thought the mandrake could just be cut out and it would grow back . Thanks
