What insect am I?

Hi there. Does anyone know what this insect is? Very shiny, metallic of ladybird size? Have quite a few around the garden. TIA.

    You don't want them. Squish them!

    They're pretty but they'll decimate your plants! I can't bring myself to kill them, I usually just relocate.
