Laurel hedge and dog urine

Hi all,
hopping someone can shed some light on the above please as I couldn’t find anything online? Newly planted laurel hedge, about 4ft tall. My question is how hardy is this against animal urine as I’m conscious that because it is directly next to a public path it will be subjected to it periodically. Thanks

    Apart from lack of water, there is not much that will kill laurel.  The waxy coating on the leaves will repel urine.

    That’s great to hear, thank you! What about the roots etc will they also be okay?
