PELARGONIUM The Boar

Hi all, I’m pretty sure I’ve overwatered my new pelargonium 😢The stem looks rotten, but there are some green bits left at the top. Should I leave it and see what happens? Or cut off the green bit and try to propagate?
Any ideas welcome. Thank you 🙏🏼

Yes, I think that's your only option if the stem is rotting.
Remove any flowers and big leaves for best chance of cutting to survive.
Easiest method is probably to put it in a glass of water and wait for roots to appear.
Change the water at least once a week.
    Rainwater is ideal.
Once roots are about 1" or a bit more you can pot it up in a gritty free-draining compost.
Once it's potted and has plenty of roots they need very little water.
