One of my saved Amaryllis has produced a new shoot! Is this unusual, will it flower?

    Yes. Mine often send up sporadic flowers , often on short stems in the summer months. Others rot off to nothing.  The only reason they all flower at xmas is they have been dried off, and then forced in heat.
