    What do the leaves look like?

    It's the seed heads of something umbelliferous. Colour-wise it looks just like my Anthriscus "Ravenswing" (purple cow parsley) and is at about the same stage of seed pod development, but we don't have enough information for a good ID.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
