Storing second early potatoes

Morning all...how long will my second earlies last if I leave them in the containers and open to the elements?

I think I have read that it is a good way to store them.

What do you think?

    I would always harvest first and second earlies to use immediately so, as long as they’re not in they’re too long,  they should be fine … and as long as the slugs don’t find them.
